Operation Unified Protector Finale

A KC-135 Stratotanker crew refuels a US Air Force F-16C over the Mediterranean Sea on the final mission day of flying during Operation Unified Protector on 31 October 2011. Unified Protector was the UN-mandated mission enforcement of a no-fly zone and maritime embargo to protect the citizens of Libya. The operation involved a coalition of twenty-eight countries. The F-16 was deployed from 35th Fighter Wing at Misawa AB, Japan, for the operation.
