Final Raptor Delivered

The 195th and final F-22 Raptor air dominance fighter was delivered to the US Air Force in ceremonies on 2 May 2012 at the Lockheed Martin facility in Marietta, Georgia. The aircraft (Air Force serial number 10-4195) will be flown to JB Elmendorf-Richardson, Alaska, where it will serve as the new flagship for the 525th Fighter Squadron. Senior officials from the Air Force and Lockheed Martin, as well as national, state, and local officials participated in or were present at the ceremony. The first F-22 was flown 7 September 1997. Raptors are assigned to seven bases in the US and are flown by active duty Air Force, Air National Guard, and Air Force Reserve Command pilots.
