Lt. Col. Jeff Klosky, a U-2 pilot with the 9th Reconnaissance Wing at Beale AFB, California, but currently deployed with the 99th Expeditionary Reconnaissance Squadron in Southwest Asia, reached 2,500 flight hours in the Dragon Lady on 20 April 2014. Klosky, who has been flying the U-2 for nineteen years, is just the third active-duty Air Force U-2 pilot to reach the milestone in the aircraft type's more than fifty-five years of service. Klosky, who graduated from the US Air Force Academy in 1989, is scheduled to retire after he returns to Beale later this year.
