Crews from the 41st Airlift Squadron, the active duty C-130J unit at Little Rock AFB, Arkansas, travelled to Reno, Nevada, in January 2013 for training with air and ground personnel from the 152nd Airlift Wing, the Nevada Air National Guard C-130H unit there. The interfly provided the opportunity for 41st AS crews to train in the steep mountains, high altitude, and high desert conditions around Reno that are similar to those in Afghanistan. The Arkansas crews were able to complete more than 1,500 individual training requirements during its stay in Reno.
