Follow-on testing of the Block 3.5.2 software upgrade for the C-5M Super Galaxy transport began on 9 May 2013 at Edwards AFB, California. Initial testing of the revised software was conducted at Dover AFB, Delaware, and the aircraft was ferried to Edwards where the remaining flight test sorties are scheduled for completion by the end of May. Block 3.5.2 is designed to correct deficiencies documented during previous C-5M test programs. According to the C-5M test team, the systems affected by this software upgrade include the automatic flight control system, autothrottle, display services, embedded diagnostic system, and the flight management system.
