The 61st Airlift Squadron at Little Rock AFB, Arkansas, received the latest C-130J Super Hercules airlifter to come off the assembly line on 5 June 2014. Col. William Otter, the vice commander of the 19th Airlift Wing at Little Rock, ferried the aircraft from the Lockheed Martin facility in Marietta, Georgia, to the base outside the Arkansas capitol. The aircraft (Air Force serial number 11-5748) is the seventh C-130J to be assigned to the 61st Airlift Squadron. The 61st AS, which has operated C-130s since 1956, along with the 41st AS, are the two Air Mobility Command C-130J squadrons assigned to the 19th AW.
