The fourteenth and final shipset of P-3 Mid-Life Upgrade, or MLU, replacement wings for US Customs and Border Protection was crated for delivery at the Lockheed Martin facility in Marietta, Georgia, on 8 September 2014. The wings will be delivered to the company’s facility in Greenville, South Carolina, for installation. Customs operates P-3s from Jacksonville, Florida, and Corpus Christi, Texas. This was the ninth shipset of Orion wings shipped from Marietta in 2014. With this delivery, the P-3 wing assembly line in Marietta will shut down temporarily. It is scheduled for reactivation in early 2015 to begin producing additional wings for the Canadian P-3s, which are designated as the CP-140 Aurora and CP-140A Arcturus.
