Last DECM Delivery

Posted 10 February 2011

The eighteenth and final Marine Corps KC-130T tanker to undergo Defensive Electronic Countermeasure Modifications, or DECM, was completed at the Lockheed Martin facility in Greenville, South Carolina, on 10 February 2011. The milestone aircraft is assigned to Marine Aerial Refueler Transport Squadron 452 (VMGR-452) at Stewart ANGB, New York. The DECM installation program began at Greenville in 2006. While the last aircraft to receive the full DECM modification has been completed, upgrades to the first three aircraft to receive the modification were also made in Greenville. One aircraft was redelivered in 2010. The two remaining upgrade aircraft have been brought up to current revisions. Redelivery of both aircraft is expected by April.
