First Travis C-5B For RERP

The first C-5B from Travis AFB, California, to enter the C-5 Reliability Enhancement and Re-engining, or RERP, modification line was flown to the Lockheed Martin facility in Marietta, Georgia, on 3 May 2012. It is the twelfth aircraft enter the RERP mod line. This C-5 (Air Force serial number 85-0008) has been used to deliver cargo in locations such as Afghanistan, Bahrain, Iraq, Italy, Germany, Japan, Kyrgyzstan, Qatar, Spain, and Thailand. It has accumulated more than 20,000 flight hours and more than 4,400 full-stop landings. After modification is complete in 2013, this aircraft will be redelivered as a C-5M Super Galaxy to Dover AFB, Delaware.
