Commercial Engine Overhauls

European Aviation, the Ledbury, Herefordshire, England-based air charter and aviation services company, signed a four- year exclusive agreement with Lockheed Martin Commercial Engine Solutions, or LMCES, for jet engine maintenance, repair, and overhaul, or MRO, services for the carrier’s fleet of sixty CFM56-3 turbofan engines. The agreement includes extensive repair services provided on-site for European Aviation, with most of the MRO work performed at the LMCES facility in Montreal, Canada, with the remainder performed in San Antonio, Texas. LMCES provides services for eleven different engine types, including CFM56-2,-3, -5 and -7; CF34-3 series; CF6-50 and -80 series; as well as MRO and new-build capabilities for the military F110 engine, the powerplant for F-15 and F-16 fighters.
