The 421st Fighter Squadron, an F-16CG unit at Hill AFB, Utah, welcomed Wasatch Front Make-A Wish kids to be pilots for a day on 25 May 2012. The kids' experience began at a hangar with a static F-16 display allowing them to ask questions about the fighter jet and its missiles. They later got to experience NVGs and the Joint Helmet Mounted Cueing System, or JHMCS, visor face plate, the base’s F-16 simulator, and the concluded with an airshow practice session by the Thunderbirds, the Air Force Air Demonstration Squadron. This Make-A-Wish pilot-for-a-day program was the fourth organized by Capt. John Loveman, a 421st FS pilot.
