An AC-130H Spectre gunship named Wicked Wanda was flown for the last time on 19 December 2014 during a training mission at Hurlburt Field, Florida. The aircraft (US Air Force serial number 69-6575) was deployed in nearly every US conflict since the end of the Vietnam War, including Operations Eagle Pull (Cambodia), Frequent Wind (Vietnam), Urgent Fury (Grenada), Just Cause (Panama), Desert Storm (Iraq), and Continue Hope (Somalia). During Operation Just Cause, the AC-130H was the only close air support platform in the theater, and aircrews earned the Mackay Trophy and Tunner Award after they destroyed the Panama Defense Force headquarters. Wicked Wanda will officially be retired in 2015 and will be displayed at the Hurlburt Field Air Park.
