Triple Delivery

Examples of three C-130J variants were delivered in late March from the Lockheed Martin facility in Marietta, Georgia. On 19 March 2015, a US Air Force crew took delivery of and ferried an MC-130J Commando II Special Operations tanker aircraft to Kadena AB, Japan. The aircraft is assigned to the US 17th Special Operations Squadron there. Also on 19 March, a US Coast Guard HC-130J long-range search and rescue aircraft (Coast Guard serial number 2008, shown here) was delivered and ferried to the Lockheed Martin facility in Greenville, South Carolina, for post-production modifications. This aircraft will be re-delivered in 2016. On 24 March, a US Air Force crew ferried an HC-130J Combat King II personnel recovery aircraft to Moody AFB, Georgia, where it joined the 71st Rescue Squadron.
