US Air Force flood relief operations in Pakistan resumed on 23 August 2010. Aircrew, support personnel, and two aircraft from the 746th Expeditionary Airlift Squadron were forward deployed to Bagram Air Field, Afghanistan, to help ease the workload of the 774th EAS, which supports missions in Afghanistan. Shortly after arriving at Bagram, the 746th crews, normally assigned to an undisclosed base in Southwest Asia, began flying missions to Pakistan’s Central Flood Relief Cell at Chaklala AB, near Islamabad. There, the C-130H was loaded with relief supplies and flown to locations affected by the flooding. The 746th EAS aircraft and crews are deployed from the 357th Airlift Squadron, the Air Force Reserve Command unit at Maxwell AFB, Alabama.
