Exercise Cope South

More than forty US Airmen and two C-130 Hercules from the 36th Airlift Squadron at Yokota AB, Japan, participated in a joint exercise with the Bangladeshi Air Force at Kurmitola AB, Bangladesh, called Exercise Cope South 2010. During the exercise, which ran 20-23 September 2010, the aircrews and maintainers exchanged airlift, airland, and airdrop delivery techniques and worked to enhance the ability of both units to respond to regional disasters. Aircrews conducted cooperative flight operations including aircraft generation and recovery, low-level navigation, tactical airdrop, and airland missions as well as conduct subject matter expert exchanges in operations, maintenance, and cargo load rigging.
