Reopened For Business

A deployed C-130 crew from the 440th Airlift Wing, the Air Force Reserve Command unit Pope Field, North Carolina, was the to land at a recently reopened bare base in Southwest Asia on 26 August 2011. The undisclosed base, which has been shut down since 2004, was reopened by a small group of Airmen and made ready to conduct operations.
