The thirteenth C-130J assigned to the 317th Airlift Wing at Dyess AFB, Texas, was delivered on 15 December 2011, two weeks ahead of schedule. Eight of those thirteen aircraft were delivered in 2011. Fifteen more aircraft are scheduled for delivery at the base in Abilene in 2012 and 2013. Dyess will be the largest C-130J operator in the world. Brig. Gen. Michael D. Kim, Mobilization Assistant to the Director of Operations at Air Mobility Command Headquarters at Scott AFB, Illinois, flew the aircraft (Air Force serial number 08-3178) from the Lockheed Martin facility in Marietta, Georgia, to Texas. This was the thirty-third Super Hercules delivered by Lockheed Martin in 2011, the highest number of C-130Js transferred in one year.
