Commando II, No. 2

The second MC-130J special operations tanker/airlifter was delivered to the 58th Special Operations Wing at Kirtland AFB, New Mexico, on 13 March 2012. General Edward A. Rice, Jr., commander of Air Education and Training Command, flew the aircraft from the Lockheed Martin facility in Marietta, Georgia, to the base in Albuquerque. The aircraft (Air Force serial number 08-6203) will be flown by crews from the 419th Special Operations Squadron at Kirtland, the US Air Force HC/MC-130J Special Operations schoolhouse. Originally called Combat Shadow II, the MC-130J will now carry the nickname Commando II
