US Air Force Gen. Raymond Johns, commander of Air Mobility Command, flew the latest C-130J Super Hercules on its delivery flight from the Lockheed Martin facility in Marietta, Georgia, to Dyess AFB, Texas, on 4 April 2012. Johns spoke to Lockheed Martin employees on both the C-130J assembly and C-5M modernization lines before flying the C-130J to the base in Abilene. This aircraft, Air Force serial number 08-5683, is the seventeenth of twenty-eight C-130Js scheduled for delivery to the 317th Airlift Group at Dyess.
