Canada’s Sweet Sixteen

The sixteenth CC-130J Super Hercules transport for the Royal Canadian Air Force to be delivered under the current contract (RCAF serial 130616) was flown from the Lockheed Martin facility in Marietta, Georgia, to its new home at 8 Wing Trenton, Ontario, on 5 April 2012. Canada’s Super Hercules aircraft, which are flown by crews from 436 Squadron at Trenton, have been deployed regularly to support a wide range of missions ranging from combat intratheater lift and resupply to search and rescue since the first CC-130J was delivered in June 2010. The seventeenth and final CC-130J will be delivered in early May 2012.
