Tadeusz Mikutel, the commander of the 3rd Airlift Wing at Powidz AB, Poland, talk under one of Poland's C-130Es. Dillon travelled to Poland on 21 June 2010 to sign a letter designating the 86th AW and the 3rd AWs as sister wings. The units will continue to build their partnership and coordinate joint training. The 3rd AW was formed in April 2007 to carry out air transport and airdrop, as well as conduct medical evacuations and peacetime search and rescue. Poland received its C-130Es from Ramstein as the 86th AW converted to C-130Js.
