Combat King II To The Rescue

The seventh of fifteen HC-130J Combat King II personnel recovery aircraft on order for the US Air force was flown from the Lockheed Martin facility in Marietta, Georgia, to Davis-Monthan AFB, Arizona, on 28 February 2013. The aircraft (Air Force serial number 10-5716) will be assigned to the 79th Rescue Squadron at the base in Tucson. While the 79th RQS is physically located at Davis-Monthan, the squadron is operationally assigned to the 563rd Rescue Group at Moody AFB, Georgia.
